Paulina, Dental Office Manager

Originally from Tarnow, Poland, Paulina began her career in the field of dentistry by attending Northeastern Illinois University. She then spent the next few years building her skills by working at a general practice, with an orthodontist, and alongside an oral surgeon. Now, with a decade of experience and counting, you’ll find her helping our Schaumburg dental office run as efficiently as possible to provide the best care for our patients. The best part of her job is being able to learn something new in a dynamic industry as well as meeting and helping new people.

Paulina moved from Poland to the United States when she was 16 years old. Today, she’s happily married and has a pet chihuahua named Toffee. Other than spending time with family and friends, she likes taking her dog for walks, gardening, and traveling whenever she can. An interesting fact about her is that she’s a highly detail-oriented and organized person—which makes her perfect for the job!

Elizabeth, Receptionist

Elizabeth was born in Libertyville, IL. She attended Millikin University and the College of Lake County to begin her career in the dental field. She then came to work at our practice, The Smile Standard, which is where she gained the majority of her dental experience. As a Treatment Plan Coordinator, she gets to help develop personalized schedules and ideas on how to best improve and preserve a patient’s pearly whites. Her favorite thing about her job is helping educate others on how to care for their smiles while also putting our patients at ease with any clinical or financial concerns. She’s also studying to become a dental hygienist.

Elizabeth comes from a well-rounded family, as her brother is an engineer, her mother a school psychologist, and her father a mechanical engineer. Aside from spending time with them, she enjoys reading, being outside, and hanging out with her cat. She’s also a major fan of everything Harry Potter. A very interesting thing about her: she’s a classically trained vocalist!

Katherine, Lead Dental Assistant

As a native of Bartlett, Katherine went to Elgin Community College to start a profession in the field of dentistry. Through her education, she also earned her certification in phlebotomy and dental polishing. With just a few years of experience, she’s now the Lead Dental Assistant at our practice, helping the dentist during various procedures as well as educating our patients on best practices for good dental care. The thing she likes most about her job is having the opportunity to learn more every day in an industry she’s grown to love. She also appreciates the overall experience of the dental office and the amazing team she works with.

Katherine grew up with extremely hardworking parents who worked all their lives to provide the best future for her and her siblings. For this reason, she gives a hundred percent in everything she does. At home, she spends time with her boyfriend and her dog named Rocky. She enjoys going to the gym, taking Rocky to the dog park, and visiting her parents. One intriguing fact about her: she has a gallery of her paintings on a wall in her house and she hopes to add more soon!

Jessica, Dental Assistant

Originally from her hometown, Hoffman Estates, Jessica graduated high school and then went on to earn her license as a dental assistant. She also earned her coronal polishing certificate and has undergone extensive training to provide the best dental care her patients deserve. With her experience, she can help out with multiple types of procedures while explaining the importance of oral health care to others. The best thing about her job is the incredible team members she works with as well as interacting with many new patients daily.

If you don’t see her around the office, Jessica is likely at home taking care of her family. She works part-time at The Smile Standard and spends as much time with her loved ones as possible, as family is her main priority. Her other interests involve gardening, being outdoors, going on bike rides, and anything that has to do with the beauty industry. One interesting fact: she’s a quick learner and is ready to tackle any challenge no matter the difficulty!

Galilea, Treatment Plan Coordinator

With four years of experience in the dental field, Galilea brings dedication and expertise as our Office Treatment Plan Coordinator. Originally from Hoffman Estates, she is passionate about educating patients on maintaining their oral health and ensuring they feel informed and confident about their treatment plans. Galilea's ability to address both clinical and financial concerns with empathy and clarity ensures that every patient feels at ease during their dental visits.

Growing up with hardworking parents who instilled in her a strong work ethic, Galilea is driven by determination and the commitment to never give up. Outside of work, she cherishes time spent with her boyfriend, family, and her two beloved Pomeranians, Khloe and Kamila. A creative soul, Galilea also expresses her artistry through makeup and nail design, showcasing her attention to detail and love for beauty. Galilea's blend of professional dedication and personal creativity makes her a valuable asset to our dental team, contributing both to the care of our patients and the positive energy of our office.

Smita, Registered Dental Hygienist

With eight years of experience in the dental field, Smita is a dedicated and compassionate hygienist who is deeply committed to her patients' oral health. Originally from India, Smita brings a passion for helping others achieve their best smiles, believing that a healthy smile can enhance not only dental health but also confidence and overall well-being. For Smita, building strong relationships with her patients is essential. She values trust and open communication as the foundation of successful dental care, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and cared for during their visits. Outside of work, Smita cherishes time spent with her nephew, whose boundless energy and curiosity bring her joy. She also enjoys watching Bollywood movies, which allow her to connect with her love for Indian cinema and culture. Whether she's playing games with her nephew or sharing a laugh, Smita treasures these moments of connection and happiness. Smita’s caring nature, dedication to her work, and commitment to her patients make her a valued member of our dental community, where she continues to make a positive impact every day.

Outside of the office, Elizabeth's adventurous spirit shines through. She loves spending time with her beloved Frenchie, whose playful nature brings her joy. When she's not at home, Elizabeth enjoys exploring new travel destinations, always eager to experience different cultures and environments. Elizabeth’s blend of professional dedication and adventurous enthusiasm makes her a valuable asset to our dental team, contributing both to the quality of patient care and the positive energy in our office.

Tiffany, Dental Assistant

Tiffany, originally from Elgin, is a dedicated Dental Assistant in training. After graduating from Elgin High School, she followed her passion for dentistry by enrolling in the dental assisting program at Elgin Community College. Though still in training, Tiffany is eager to expand her knowledge and skills, demonstrating a strong commitment to her future in the dental profession.

Outside of her studies, Tiffany enjoys curling up with a good book and spending quality time with her boyfriend and their beloved dog, Kirby. On sunny days, she loves to recharge by going for refreshing outdoor runs, embracing the beauty of the outdoors. Tiffany’s enthusiasm for learning and her balanced approach to life make her a promising addition to the dental community.

Estrella, Dental Assistant

Estrella is a skilled Dental Assistant with two years of experience, having honed her expertise at the North Shore Dental Assistant Academy. Her passion for the dental field is evident in her dedication to providing exceptional care to every patient, ensuring they feel supported and well-informed throughout their visits.

Outside of work, Estrella enjoys spending quality time with her family and beloved pets, cherishing these moments of connection. A true adventurer at heart, she has a deep love for travel and discovering new destinations, always eager to explore new cultures and experiences.
